Kirkjufjara
Kirkjufjara is a black sand beach located in the Dyrhólaey cape area and is the southernmost beach on mainland Iceland. Currently, Kirkjufjara is closed due to erosion of the surrounding slopes and the risk of landslides. In some areas, recent landslides that stretch across the entire beach into the sea are still evident.
