Grjótagjá cave
Grjótagjá Cave was once known locally for the thermal pond hidden within it. Since being featured in “Game of Thrones,” however, it has gained worldwide fame and has become a popular destination for tourists in the Lake Mývatn area.
Grjótagjá Cave is located close to Road No. 860 on the eastern shore of Lake Mývatn.
