Höfði is a beautiful recreational area on the east shore of the Lake Mývatn. Thousands, maybe dozen of thousand trees and the Kálfastrandavogar lava pillars makes this area so unique in Iceland. If you miss a bit of ‘Europe (or US)’, here you can recharge.
How to find Höfði:
There is a parking lot right at the entrance to the Höfði recreational area and from here on, you can walk until you are tired. P.s. the most amazing views are at the back of the Höfði area:)
