Hverir (Námaskarð)

Hverir – a place of bubbling mud, hissing fumaroles, and an all-encompassing smell reminiscent of a monkey house. Amidst all this, you can walk through and soak in the energy. The soil here is tinted in shades of red, orange, yellow, and gray, and the scent might most vividly remind you of rotten eggs.

Hverir – Námaskarð is located a few kilometers northeast of Lake Mývatn and is literally just a few meters off the Ring Road.
