Grundarlækjarfoss

Grundarlækjarfoss is a small waterfall in the Suðurdalur valley along road 935, which you’ll take on your way to Strútsfoss waterfall. What sets it apart from the vast majority of other Icelandic waterfalls is that it is surrounded by tall trees, and let’s say it outright – a forest. And a really large forest at that. You can see the waterfall from the road and reach it in 5-10 minutes. Once you’re there, you might notice the remnants of a former mill.
