Stuðlafoss

Surrounded by steep and high basalt columns, Stuðlafoss is one of these typical icelandic waterfalls (together with i.e. Svartifoss, Aldeyjarfoss or Dettifoss to name some of them) you cannot confuse with maybe any other place. Together with Faxi and Kirkjufoss is the Stuðlafoss waterfall part of the so called ‘waterfall circle’ – a well spent hiking day in the East Iceland.
