Faxi – East Iceland

Faxi (Faxfoss and formerly AKA Laugarárfoss) – a waterfall in the Jökulsá á Fljótsdal river, is with Kirkjufoss and Stuðlafoss, part of the ‘waterfall circle’ and you should definitely not confuse it with Faxi – the other waterfall of the same name in the south east of Iceland. Two rivers (Jökulsá í Fljótsdal and Laugará) merge just few steps before the waterfall falls into the abyss and you can stay in the middle of this. And enjoy the pure magnificient stormy beauty of the place.
