Sexhólagil
Sexhólagil is a godforsaken canyon on the western bank of the Skjálfandafljót river, near the bridge between roads 842 and 843, about 25 kilometers south of the Goðafoss waterfall. There is no marked trail here, so if you want to head there, go upstream along the right bank of the river (that is, on the left). Allow roughly 3 hours for a visit to the site.
The canyon includes the rock formation Karlinn.
