Magni is one of Iceland’s newest peak. Magni was formed in 2010 during the eruption of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano.
You will find Magni about halfway through the Fimmvörðuháls trek, the easier and shorter route is definitely the one from the Þórsmörk area.
The second newest peak is nearby Móði.
