Magni

Magni is one of Iceland’s two newest peaks. Magni was formed in 2010 during the eruption of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano and was named after the son of the Norse god Thor, meaning strength.
Magni can be found about halfway through the Fimmvörðuháls trek, the easier and shorter route is definitely the one from the Þórsmörk area.
The second newest peak is nearby Móði.
