Móði

Móði is one of the newest peaks in Iceland and was formed during the eruption of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano in 2010.
Móði can be found on the Fimmvörðuháls trekking route and is best reached from the Þórsmörk area.

Móði is one of the sons of the Norse god Thor, and this name means courage. His other son is Magni.

Therefore, it will come as no surprise that the second nearby peak formed by the eruption of the Eyjafjallajökull volcano is Magni.
