The campground offers decent facilities and is very popular, which is reflected in its high occupancy rates—it’s often difficult to find a spot for a tent or car. The campground has several spots by the Reykjadalsá River, but these are, of course, the first to be occupied. Electrical hookups are limited. All facilities are located in one main building, where you need to remove your shoes. The showers and toilets are downstairs; the showers are communal but clean and included in the price. On the same floor, there is also a laundry room with two washing machines and one dryer, often in use overnight. Upstairs, there is a kitchen, dining area, and mattresses for sleeping in sleeping bags.
