Lystigarður Akureyrar is a botanical garden in Akureyri. It was founded by a women’s association in 1910 and opened to the public as a park in 1912. Admission is free, and if you’re not in a hurry, you’ll certainly spend a good two hours here.

It is a pleasant place to relax in the North Icelandic metropolis, and you can buy snacks and drinks at the local cafeteria.
