Valahnúkur is an approximately 10,000-year-old composite mountain made of volcanic ash, sediments, and fragments.

You shouldn’t confuse this Valahnúkur with another Icelandic mountain of the same name in Þórsmörk.

Valahnúkur is located at the southwesternmost end of the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland.
