Paradísarhellir

Paradísarhellir is a well-known cave associated with a love story that took place there in the 16th century. The cave is about 5 x 3 meters in size. The challenging part is that the entrance to the cave is about 8 meters above the ground along an almost vertical wall. Chains are installed, but they don’t help many people. So please be careful and do not overestimate your abilities. You can find the Paradísarhellir cave near a waterfall, and from the parking lot, it’s about a 15-minute walk through very wet terrain.
