Gluggafoss (Merkjárfoss)

Gluggafoss, also known as Merkjárfoss, is a cascade of three smaller waterfalls on the Merkjá River. The waterfall is not particularly popular among travelers, which might make it interesting for photographers who want to play with composition.

You can find Gluggafoss near the junction of roads 250 and 261, about 15 km east of the town of Hvolsvöllur. There is a bench with a table by the waterfall where you can rest.
