Hoffellsjökull is a glacial tongue of Iceland’s largest glacier, Vatnajökull. The landscape here is vast, desolate in its own way, and thus impressive. At first glance, the place may not seem as spectacular as, for instance, the glacial tongue Svínaffellsjökull, but the longer you stay, the more impressive it becomes. From the parking lot and viewpoint, you have several walking options, mainly to the surrounding slopes with beautiful views of the Hoffellsjökull glacier and the Hoffelslón glacial lagoon, which is characterized by its brown color.
