Heinabergslón is a relatively unknown glacial lagoon located in front of the Heinabergsjökull glacier tongue. The lagoon is composed exclusively of water from melting ice, making it very cold. Its gentle and easily accessible shore makes it a popular spot for kayaking among the glaciers. Despite its seemingly shallow appearance, it is more than 100 meters deep. Heinabergslón is situated about 40 kilometers west of the town of Höfn, and there are restroom facilities available at the local parking area.
