These craters became very “Instagram famous” in 2019, so if you’re curious about what they look like in reality (without all the Instagram edits) or where to find them, here you go.
The craters are best viewed during the hike to Lake Hnausapollur, from where you can see them even without a drone.
They are located along the F208 mountain road heading towards the Landmannalaugar area.
