Vigabjargsfoss Waterfall (sometimes referred to as Vigabergsfoss) is a somewhat inaccessible waterfall on the Jökulsá á Fjöllum river due to the very unstable ground. The site is notable for the fact that this mighty river flows through a rather narrow gorge here. Despite the limitations that prevent you from getting a good view of the waterfall, the hike to this spot in the Jökulsárgljúfur valley is truly beautiful and could easily be one of the most stunning hikes you undertake in Iceland.
The hike to Vigabjargsfoss from the parking lot takes about an hour and a half.
