Prestagil

Prestagil is a rock gorge created by the river Prestagilsá (and the Prestagilsfoss waterfall). You can find it near road 939 leading to Mjólfjörður. It’s not possible to reach the canyon directly due to the Fjarðará river. This entire area is magical, completely overlooked by tourists, allowing you to experience the beautiful, unspoiled Iceland far from civilization.
