Ásmundarsandur is one of the northernmost beaches in Iceland. It is made of nice white sand, but for obvious reasons it is unmaintained, where even on hot summer days the temperature rarely exceeds 10°C and it is covered with silt.
However, for a romantic stroll on the shores of the North Atlantic, it is absolutely ideal.
