Skarðsvík is rather a smaller beach on the Snæfellsnes peninsula. In Icelandic realms the interesting thing is, that it is not made from the black sand, but is all yellow (similarly as is Rauðasandur). It is not the location nr. 1 in Iceland nor on Snæfellsnes, so you can possibly enjoy your private time on the beach by sunset. Just for the bathing, you might consider an another location.
