Kálfatindar is the highest peak of the famous Hornbjarg cliffs. Not everyone knows, however, that you can walk all the way to the top and that it is not even very demanding. That is, of course, if you are already here in the Hornstrandir area, not far below the summit. The summit of Kálfatindar is at an elevation of about 535 meters, and from the hiking trail, about 500 meters with a 150-meter elevation gain awaits you on the way to the top.

The views are beautiful: you will see the entire Horn area and, to the south, as far as the Drífandi waterfall; to the north and east, of course, there is only the wide, enormous ocean. And if you dare to look down into the ocean directly below you, it is quite a frightening sight.
