Efra-Hvolshellar

Efra-Hvolshellar are man-made caves located 4 kilometers from Hvolsvöllur along road 262, and from there a short distance via a local road. From the parking lot, it takes about 5 minutes to reach the cave, either by descending the stairs or by briefly walking around the grassy area. The cave has a high entrance and its first section is tall enough for you to walk through without needing to stoop.
