Trog is a stony beach on the northeastern coast in the Hornstrandir area, about 2 kilometers north of Hornbjargsvíti. It is rocky, and what makes it interesting is that it is completely separated from the ocean by a huge basalt wall, and there is also quite a large amount of driftwood here, which travels from the regions of northern Russia.

The way here is not entirely easy, and on the last section there is also a fixed rope installed, but there is no need to worry about rappelling; in Iceland there are several more complicated sections where there is neither a rope nor a chain. If you are in good shape (and since you are in Hornstrandir, you are), you will manage to get here.
