Múlagljúfur is a stunning canyon located on the southern coast of Iceland. Due to its relatively good accessibility and low profile, it offers a truly beautiful experience even in the often crowded southern Iceland. The canyon features two waterfalls, Hangandifoss and Múlafoss, which add to its charm.

You can find Múlagljúfur about 5 kilometers west of Fjallsárlón and 15 kilometers from the Glacier Lagoon in the southeastern part of Iceland. To get there, take a side road that is not marked, park your car here (GPS: 63.992864, -16.434296), and then embark on a 45-minute hike into the beautiful natural surroundings. Along the way, you’ll just need to hop over a stream, and you’re there!
