Skiptárfoss is an almost unknown waterfall by the Kjálkafjörður fjord, approximately halfway through the southern part of the Westfjords. The area around the waterfall is very beautiful and it is located by an old and no longer used road around the fjord, so it is very likely that you will be completely alone there. You can drive to the waterfall by car, but shortly after the waterfall, this old road ends.
