Öxarárfoss

Öxarárfoss in Þingvellir National Park is one of those waterfalls that may not be the main reason for your trip to Iceland, but it certainly enhances the landscape and adds a unique Icelandic charm. One fascinating aspect of this waterfall is that it cascades from the North American tectonic plate, and you can observe it from the European tectonic plate.

Öxarárfoss is located in Þingvellir National Park. It is accessible only on foot, and it is about 800 meters from the parking lot.
