Elliðaey island

Elliðaey is one of the 15 islands of the Vestmannaeyjar archipelago. It is the northernmost island and that means that if you are about to come to Heimaey (the main, the biggest and the only inhabited island) by ferry, you´ll pass by the Elliðaey island first. This island is really characterised by its shape and by the cabin as well. It is really popular shot all across the social media of this island. The best views of the Elliðaey are definitely from Heimaklettur.

How to find the Elliðaey island:

The Elliðaey is located approx. 6 kilometers (4 miles) south of the Icelandic mainland. But if you´d like to visit the island, unless you are a member of the group of the owners, your chances to your toe on it are not very high.
