Hrútey í Blöndu is a small island in the Blandá River, located in the area of Blönduós.
Hrútey is a great place for a two-hour leisurely nature walk, where you might even forget for a moment that you are on a volcanic island. Everything here is covered with grass, shrubs and trees. A large number of non-marine birds and insects nest here.
