Lindarbakki

Lindarbakki is a beautiful original wooden house covered with grass, which you can find in the Borgarfjörður eystri area, in the village of Bakkagerði.
Historically, all the houses in this area looked like this. However, modern times have brought new practices and sometime in the mid-twentieth century all the houses in Bakkagerði were rebuilt using concrete and modern techniques. With one exception, the Lindarbakki house.
