Þóristindur

Þóristindur is a mountain near road F228, and its peak offers one of those places where you will have truly beautiful views of the landscape of southwestern Iceland, while still being relatively easily accessible. Initially, you walk for a long time on flat terrain, then you face a steeper but not too long ascent, followed by a straightforward path to the summit.
Many place names in Iceland are connected to trolls or outlaws; this is the latter case, where the name refers to a man named Þórir.
