Nauthólsvík

Nauthólsvík – Geothermal Beach. Iceland boasts many fascinating beaches, such as the beautiful black sand beach of Reynisfjara, the Diamond Beach, Stokksnes – a paradise for photographers, and the vast, stunning Rauðasandur Beach. This beach in Reykjavík is also special; it’s geothermal. However, it’s worth noting that unless you’re Icelandic or from the Nordic countries, you might not be inclined to swim here.

A bonus feature of this beach is the sight of planes landing at the nearby domestic airport in Reykjavík.

The Nauthólsvík Geothermal Beach is slightly off the beaten path from Reykjavík, but not too far. You can reach it on foot from the famous Hallgrimskirkja Church in about 30 minutes.
