Leirhnjúkur

Volcanic ponds, fumaroles, views of lava fields, and volcanic craters – that is Leirhnjúkur.

You can find Leirhnjúkur in the Krafla caldera near Lake Mývatn, in the northern part of Iceland. There is a parking lot nearby (GPS: 65.713119, -16.773927), from where it is about a 15-minute walk to Leirhnjúkur.
