Kirkjufell

Kirkjufell – the most famous and photographed mountain in Iceland, is one of the locations featured in the 6th and 7th seasons of the iconic series Game of Thrones. It adorns the already stunning Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Together with the nearby Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall, it creates one of the most renowned panoramas in Iceland and is one of the few mountains with its own peninsula. Its majesty: Kirkjufell.

Kirkjufell Mountain dominates the northern coast of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula and is located right off Route 54. Thanks to its unique shape and the constant presence of tourists and photographers, it is impossible to miss.
