Kaldalónsjökull

Kaldalónsjökull is a glacier tongue of the Drangajökull glacier. You can reach it in about two hours on foot from the parking lot. There are several streams along the way that can be jumped over unless it’s after rains, in which case wading might not be necessary. The area around the glacier is extremely unstable, with frequent falling rocks, so stay alert.
