Skaftafellsjökull

Skaftafellsjökull is a glacier tongue of Vatnajökull, Iceland’s largest glacier.

Skaftafellsjökull is part of Skaftafell National Park in southeastern Iceland. From the parking lot within Skaftafell National Park, you can walk to it on flat terrain in less than 30 minutes, making it an excellent destination for an excursion in the area.
