Hesteyri

Hesteyri is a small settlement in the Hornstrandir area of the Westfjords. It includes several houses, a café, an information center, a cemetery, and a campsite. Visiting Hesteyri is not easy, as it takes about two weeks on foot through rough nature from the nearest road. An easier alternative is to arrive by boat, as Hesteyri has a beautiful embarkation pier for this purpose.
