Heiðarskarð is a peak at a mountain pass at 690 metres above sea level on the Hlíðarvegur road, from which you can get some nice views of the forgotten corners of Iceland and the ocean, as well as the winding road below.
You can park your car below the summit for a while and walk up the hill to stretch your body, it’s not far.
