Hangandifoss, standing at nearly 130 meters tall, is one of the highest waterfalls in Iceland. It cascades into the Múlagljúfur valley, one of the few beautiful yet almost overlooked spots in the southern part of Iceland.
You can find it about 5 kilometers west of Fjallsárlón. Turn off from the Ring Road, park here (GPS: 63.992971, -16.435808), and hike approximately 2 kilometers (45 minutes) along the trail heading upwards.
