In Iceland, it is said that there are ten thousand waterfalls, but only a few of them are geothermal, and Halllandsnesfoss is one of them. The area was developed in connection with the construction of the Vaðlaheiðargöng tunnel.
There is a small pool under the waterfall where you can bathe.
You can find the waterfall just before the Vaðlaheiðargöng tunnel, where you take road no. 83 at the roundabout and after about 500 meters, you reach the spot. You can also drive down the local road towards Halllandsnes, and there is a small parking lot right by the waterfall.
