Granni waterfall on the Fossá river cascades down a cliff into the Þjórsárdalur valley, falling a depth of 100 meters. It is located just about 100 meters from its more famous sibling, Háifoss waterfall, amidst the beautiful Icelandic nature.
From road number 26, turn off onto road 332 at this point (GPS: 64.153642, -19.672586). After about 500 meters, turn right and continue on road 332. Although this road is not marked for 4×4 vehicles, it will likely be quite challenging for smaller cars (such as a Hyundai i20) due to a few difficult sections on the way to the waterfall.
In winter, this road is impassable for cars, and if you wish to visit, you will need to embark on a nearly two-hour hike through the snow from the turn-off from road number 26.
