Flögufoss on the Flöguá River is over 60 meters tall. Although it is not a volcanic waterfall, its uniqueness lies in the rock arch through which the water flows. This photogenic feature, combined with an interesting backdrop that from certain angles can resemble a mysterious castle in the Carpathians, makes it a frequent destination for photographers.
Flögufoss is located in the eastern part of Iceland, slightly off the beaten path.
