Djúpavogskörin is one of the few places in East Iceland where you can relax in geothermal water.
You can find Djúpavogskörin about 2 kilometers west of the town of Djúpivogur, approximately 100 meters from the main Icelandic road No. 1 – the Ring Road. However, this geothermal pool is hidden behind a hill and is not visible from the road, so if you don’t know where you are going, you can easily miss it. There is a small parking area available (GPS: 64.653803, -14.341653), and from there it’s just a short walk.
