Reykjafoss on the Huseyjarkvisl River is a truly beautiful waterfall, and the only reason it’s not more famous is that Iceland has dozens of such waterfalls. In other countries, it could easily be a ‘main attraction.’
Even for those who are not particularly interested in waterfalls, a reason to visit Reykjafoss could be the thermal pool Fosslaug, located just a few dozen meters away.
You can find Reykjafoss about 8 km southeast of the town of Varmahlíð. From road no. 752, turn onto road no. 753. Cross the bridge and turn right. There, you will find a small parking area (GPS: 65.499083, -19.379456), and from there, it’s about a 5-minute walk to Reykjafoss.
