The Varmaland Campground is located on the outskirts of the village Skaftholtstungur in the Borgarfjörður fjord area, between the rivers Hvítá and Norðurá. It is situated near the geothermal area of Stafholtstungur.
This is a spacious campground suitable for families and groups, equipped with a playground and surrounded by numerous hiking trails. In Varmaland, there is also a sports center with a swimming pool that is open from the end of June to the middle of August.
