Fjallsárlón is one of the glacial lakes located right at the base of Iceland’s largest glacier, Vatnajökull. Unlike the nearby, larger, and more well-known Jökullsárlón – the Glacier Lagoon, Fjallsárlón is smaller. However, this makes it even more intense and immersive, allowing you to see, feel, and admire the structures of the massive glacier just a few hundred meters away on the other side, as opposed to several kilometers away in the case of Jökullsárlón.
Fjallsárlón is situated about 10 km west of the Glacier Lagoon along the Ring Road.
