The viewpoint on the hiking trail Hafragilsundirlendi, which leads to the Hafragilsfoss waterfall, offers you beautiful views of the Jökulsárgljúfur canyon, created by the powerful Jökulsá á Fjöllum river. An interesting feature is a small bay formed by the water of the short Stórulaekir stream, where its blue-green water sharply contrasts with the gray water of the Jökulsá river.
Getting here is already quite challenging, and the further path to the Hafragilsfoss waterfall is even more difficult, making this place not suitable for regular recreational tourists.
