The official name of this place is Naustahvilft, but everyone knows it as the Troll’s Seat. It is a popular lookout point directly across the bay from the town of Ísafjörður. You can reach the viewpoint in about 15 minutes, but the ascent is quite steep, so you’ll get a good cardiovascular workout. From a height of 225 meters, you’ll enjoy a beautiful view of the landscape, and it’s interesting that from here you can watch airplanes from a bird’s eye view since the local airport is directly below you.
