Naustahvilft

The official name of this place is Naustahvilft, but everyone knows it as Troll’s Chair. It is a popular viewpoint directly across the bay from the town of Ísafjörður. You can reach the viewpoint in about 15 minutes, but the climb is quite steep, so you’ll get a good cardiovascular workout. From here, at an elevation of 225 meters, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the landscape, and it’s interesting that you can observe airplanes from a bird’s-eye view, as the local airport will be right below you.
