Krossavíkurfjall is a 1100-meter high mountain that is the destination of a well-known local trail. From this mountain, you will have breathtaking views of the surrounding Vopnafjörður fjord and later also into the Hofsá river valley. Since the trek starts almost at sea level, you can expect an elevation gain of more than 1000 meters. The path is variable, with gentle sections alternating with steep and challenging ones. However, you won’t need any climbing equipment anywhere along the way.
